The formal site of Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran reported: "According to the selection of West Asia Football Confederation, the Zar Macaron Industrial Group Company is selected as a sponsor of West Asia Football Championship (WAFF). The Zar Macaron Industrial Group Company after competition with 8 Arabic producer companies has selected as a sponsor of West Asia WAFF Championship and the 6th term of these competitions which will be heled in Jordan, is named "Zar Macaron WAFF Cup" It should be noted this selection is done by AFC. Zar Macaron can attend as a formal sponsor.
In a ceremony that was heled for announcing the title of this term of championship, the Internal Media reporters attended, Ali Kaffashian the Chief of Football Federation of Iran and Vice chairman of West Asia Federation, Dr. Asemi Managing Director of Credit Fund of champions and pioneers of Iran's Sport, Mohammad Mahdi Nabi the Federation Secretary of Foot ball,Fathi the Chairman of Ertebat Gostar Ghahreman Company,Heshmat Mohajerani the Former Coach of National Team, Hamid Steeli the Coach of Shahin of Bushehr team and Mohammad Fanayi the Pioneer of Referee also attended.
Be reminded that West Asia Zar Macaron Cup 6th term West Asia WAFF Championship that take place 24 Sep – 3 Oct 2010 in Jordan and 9 countries take part including Iran, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, and Yemen, and the national football team of Iran as a defender of the championship title according to the plan in its first game in 24 Sep has playing against Bahrain. The national football team of Iran in the 4 consecutive terms of 5 previous terms had owned champion title for itself.
